Komli Media acquires UK’s Indoor Media

Komli Media, Asia Pacific’s leading digital media network platform, announced today that it has acquired Indoor Media, the UK’s leading online ethnic marketing media company, further strengthening its position and operations in international markets. This is Komli’s second acquisition since June, as it aggressively expands its international operations.

Founded in 2007 by Murly Tiwari and Jay Rai, and headquartered in London, Indoor Media has established itself in the UK market as the leader in online ethnic marketing with a focus on South Asians. Covering more than 400 websites across verticals like News, Business, Entertainment and Women it offers an aggregate UK reach of 2.6 million ethnic minority unique users, primarily comprised of South Asians. Indoor’s clients include marketers such as Mercedes, the UK Government, O2, Vodafone and Western Union among others.

Komli media raises $6M from existing investors

Komli media an online Indian ad network has raised $6M from existing investors – Nexus Venture Partners, Helion Venture partners and DFJ.   The funding will be used to accelerate the company’s overall growth including its expansion across Asia Pacific.

In 2007 Komli has raised $7m from the above mentioned VC firms.

The funding will aid the company to continue investments in the following core businesses:

  • Premium Brand Solutions - Komli Media will continue to build on its already strong set of exclusive high quality publisher relationships across the region.  The company will also invest in bringing the next generation of video, mobile and brand measurement solutions to the market
  • Performance Marketing – The company will invest further in its core performance optimization platform to help improve ROI for marketers and increase yields for publishers
  • Audience Measurement – The company will continue to increase its panel size and bring more audience measurement solutions that will deliver significantly greater data and insights to marketers and agencies

“With India’s Internet user base growing over 50 million and increasing broadband penetration, we see an acceleration of growth in the digital advertising market. The largest brand advertisers in India are now demanding a much higher share of digital and social media in their overall marketing plans. We will continue to make India a top priority of our growth plans”, said Prashant Mehta, Chief Operating Officer of Komli Media.

Komli grabs PostClick

Leading Indian digital media network Komli Media, announced its acquisition of PostClick, Australia’s leading premium website representation firm, this week. Together the company now reaches over 30 million unique audiences across Asia to become the leading digital media network platform in the region, according to a press statement.

Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Sydney with offices across Melbourne and Singapore, PostClick represents Bloomberg and Hotfrog among other premium websites. Headquarted in Mumbai, Komli Media partners exclusively with top global publishers including Facebook, Expedia and Miniclip in India. The network also has offices in New York, Toronto, Palo Alto and New Delhi.

Andrew Lockwood will continue as managing director of PostClick as it becomes a division of Komli Media.
